English Congregation Announcement

• A joint worship service for Mission Day will be held next week on November 16, starting at 10 a.m.
• We are collecting Christmas Shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child starting next Friday. Each Shoebox made goes to a child who will hear the Gospel! National Collection Week: November 17-23, 2025.
  • Be sure to include a “wow” item and other quality toys. Also, pack the shoebox to the brim with additional school supplies and personal care items (click here for more details). 
  • Prayed over and contains a note and photo, which are often the child’s favourite items!
  • Please include $12 per box to cover shipping and other ministry expenses.
  • You can also donate additional cash towards the shipping fees of all other boxes.

• Our Office Administrator, Mr. Leung, will be on holiday from October 31 to November 23. Eno Wong will step in and help with administrative tasks during this time.
• Please keep the 2026 Nomination Committee in your prayers. There are several positions that need to be filled, including:
  • Cantonese Congregation Representative
  • English Congregation Representative
  • Human Resources Member
  • Membership Committee Member
  • Mission Committee Member

Church Council Announcement

• A Special Membership Meeting is scheduled for November 30, 2025. This is an in-person meeting, and there are two voting items listed:
  • The Church Council proposes to accept the Nomination Committee’s recommendation to appoint the following candidates to be the 2026 Church Council members:
    • Council Chairperson: Steven Ma
    • Mandarin Congregation: Stephan Fan
      
    • Children Ministry: Miao Ling Tam
    • Finance Committee: Daniel Lee
    • Facility Committee Member: Danny Szeto
    • Trustee Board Member: Kam Chan
    • Trustee Board Member and Chairperson: Kenny Ho
  • The 2026 church budget.
• The contractor completed our roofing project on October 24th. The project cost was $48,926.33, and the roof offering was $55,919.85. The remaining balance ($6,993.52) will be transferred to the church’s Capital Asset Fund at the end of the year.

Finance Department Announcement

• We’ve posted three financial reports for our church on the bulletin board outside the library.
  • Offerings report for January to September 2025,
  • Third quarter financial report for 2025,
  • Church budget for 2026.
• We will hold a Q&A session on the 2026 budget at 1:30 PM after worship on November 23. The 2026 budget will be voted on and approved at a special members’ meeting on November 30.
