Announcement from The Church Council

  • The next Special Membership Meeting is scheduled for December 13th, there are 2 voting items enlisted in this meeting. Please check the email from the Membership Committee for the login credentials to the Zoom video conference or the YouTube Live webcast.
  • In recent years, paperless becomes the trend in doing business, as a result, ECBC Finance Committee would like to email the official offering receipt for a Tax deduction (RECEIPT) to our brothers and sisters for 2020 and subsequent years. Please sign up for the request for an e-Tax Receipt at the church webpage by providing your personal information to ensure the information on the RECEIPT is correct. To sign up for the request, simply go to the Offering Information page. You may also find the page under the “Resources” Tab at the top. Please Complete the “ECBC e-Tax Receipt Registration” form on or before January 15, 2021. Please note the information provided is strictly confidential and is solely used to issue the RECEIPT.
  • Paper RECEIPT is available for those who did not sign up for the e-Tax Receipt and it will be issued and picked up at our church office. RECEIPT will be mailed to those who live out of Edmonton. The date of the RECEIPT distribution will be announced in later days when our review of the offering is finalized. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the e-Tax receipt, please contact us at finance@ecbchurch.org.

English Congregation Announcement

  • Edmonton’s mandatory mask law for indoor public space (Bylaw #19408) goes into effect Saturday, August 1st, 2020. For the safety and protection of our community, all persons must wear a face-mask or face-covering when entering and remaining within our church facility.
    • Places of worship are included in the bylaw as they are enclosed buildings that members of the public have access to. Those attending places of worship are permitted to temporarily remove their face covering for eating or drinking, such as to receive communion. With regard to the stage areas in places of worship, if this space is only accessible to those leading worship or preaching and you have implemented physical barriers or distancing practices between every person that will not be wearing a face covering and any other person, face coverings may be removed in this area. However, if these physical controls are not in place face-coverings will be required.
  • Online Bible Study every Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.

  • FoodBank will continue to need volunteers at this time of physically-distancing. Pastor Lum can help you set up a time with FoodBank if you want to form a group to go help out. Note, a volunteering group is limited to no more than 6 people at a time.
  • We have changed the format of our Prayer meeting. We are incorporating the Breakout function in Zoom which enables us to form multiple smaller prayer groups. Please come join us every Wednesday at 7:00 pm MDT.
