• Please help set up the tables and chairs for our Potluck today!
• A Remembrance Day ceremony will occur tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the hangar beside the Alberta Aviation Museum. Some of our teens will be there to commemorate, honour, and remember the men and women who have served and continue to serve Canada! We invite you to join them tomorrow. Ask Lydia for more details.
• We are starting our collection of Christmas Shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Each Shoebox made goes to a child who will hear the Gospel! The last day to drop off at church is November 20th.
  • You can grab a shoebox in the back today and bring it back filled with supplies, such as soap, toothbrushes, socks, and other gifts (click here for more details). Be sure to include $12 to cover shipping and other ministry expenses.
  • You can also donate additional cash towards all other boxes’ shipping fees!

• Join us for our first Clothing Exchange at Edmonton Chinese Baptist Church on Sunday, November 17, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall! This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to repurpose and share gently used children’s clothing.
  • We will also enjoy a simple luncheon, prayer, and fellowship together. Feel free to bring any gently used children’s clothing or shoes (sizes newborn to under 12 years old) that you no longer need. You’re welcome to bring toys as well!
  • If you don’t have anything to donate, that’s fine—please come and take what you need for your family!

• There is a Special Membership Meeting scheduled for December 1st at 1:00 p.m. This is an in-person meeting, and there are three voting items listed:
  • The Church Council proposes to accept the Nomination Committee’s recommendation to appoint the following candidates to be the 2025 Church Council members:
    • Council Chairperson: Steven Ma
    • Cantonese Congregation: Dora Ng
      
    • Mandarin Congregation: Stephan Fan
      
    • Children Ministry: Miao Ling Tam
    • Finance Committee: Christine Ngai
  • The Church Council proposes to accept the Nomination Committee’s recommendation to appoint Fung Ho as a Trustee Board member and Isabella Wong as a Human Resources Board member.
  • The Church Council proposes to accept the 2025 Church Budget.
