• Please join us on August 2 to hand out flyers for the Block Party to the community! We will meet in the church parking lot from 6 to 7:30 PM. Please tell Cindy, Eno, or Lydia if you want to join.

• The Edmonton Foodbank is constantly seeking hygiene products such as diapers, wipes, shampoo, conditioner, soap, diaper cream, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving razors, shaving cream, hand soap, dish soap, new underwear, and socks. Your support is greatly appreciated, as it will help us positively impact someone’s life and demonstrate God’s love through our actions.

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE CHURCH COUNCIL

• The following Special Membership Meeting is scheduled for July 14th after the worship service. There are (so far) 1 voting items:
  • The Church Council proposes to accept the recommendation from the Human Resources Board regarding Pastor Ryan Chau’s first-year review. A renewal of Ryan’s contract for the second year of employment as English Congregational Pastor from Aug 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, inclusive. His annual salary will be adjusted accordingly as well.

Children Ministry Announcement

• We have added a new consultation and information service, the Newcomers Settlement Program, focused on helping new immigrants to integrate into Canadian society smoothly. If you are interested, please contact the office or call 780-426-0891.
• We’re hosting a Newcomers’ Day Camp from July 15th to 19th for children in grades 1-9. The camp offers ELL classes, stress management courses, Pickleball, Taekwondo, Canadian cooking, and daily field trips. Registration can be done at https://ecbchurch.org/children/events/newcomers-day-camp/

• We are excited to present the “Breaker Rock Beach” Summer VBS Day Camp for ages 4 and up, from Aug 6-9 and 12-17, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The registration fee is $300 on or before June 30th. There are also volunteer opportunities, please click the image below to apply.
