Announcement from The Church Council

• We invite members to represent our church to attend the “Online CNBC Annual Convention Gathering” by the Canadian National Baptist Convention (CNBC). For registration details, please inquire with our pastors. Registration ends on April 26.
• The Annual Highway Cleanup is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 1st, 2021 (weather permitting). We will be following the AHS guidelines. Sign-up can be done with Rev. Nie directly or through this online form https://ecbchurch.org/cantonese/events/2021-highway-cleanup/ with your name, phone number and email.

• The Government of Alberta has set up a Faith-based and Cultural Facility Relaunch Grant to help non-profit organizations to reopen effectively when the Covid restriction lifts. Successful applicants can receive up to a maximum of $5,000 funding. Since the ventilation and heating system at the church basement needs renewal and improvement, therefore the Church Council has decided to apply for this grant and use the funding received for the ventilation improvement project.
  • The total cost of this project is approximately $15,000.
  • We will set up special offerings for this project to raise money from our brothers and sisters. Please follow the usual offering process and mark it as “Ventilation offering” when submitting your offering. The Finance team will allocate the total amount of your special offering to this project.

Children Ministry Announcement

• • From April 30th to May 2nd, the Children’s Ministry will once again arrange delivery and collection of gift bags. Also we, on behalf of the children, have prepared some meaningful gifts for their mothers. On April 29th (Thursday evening), please placed the prepared bag and/or books of the Children Ministry outside of your home entrance for our staff to collect.
