Announcement from The Church Council

• The 2020 Offering Tax receipt has been issued. If you sign up for the ECBC e-Tax Receipt, be sure to check your email to ensure you did in fact received it. ECBC Finance team will mail the offering receipts to those who have not signed up for the e-tax receipt option this week. If you have any questions, please email finance@ecbchurch.org or contact Mr. Ho Fung for further information and inquiries.
• There will be a Q/A session for the 2021 Church Budget on March 7th, 2021. The specific time of this Q/A session will be announced at a later date.
• The next Special Membership Meeting is scheduled for March 28th, 2021 for the approval of the 2021 Budget. The specific meeting time is TBA.
• The Government of Alberta has set up a Faith-based and Cultural Facility Relaunch Grant to help non-profit organizations to reopen effectively when the Covid restriction lifts. Successful applicants can receive up to a maximum of $5,000 funding. Since the ventilation and heating system at the church basement needs renewal and improvement, therefore the Church Council has decided to apply for this grant and use the funding received for the ventilation improvement project.
  • The total cost of this project is approximately $15,000.
  • We will set up special offerings for this project to raise money from our brothers and sisters. Please follow the usual offering process and mark it as “Ventilation offering” when submitting your offering. The Finance team will allocate the total amount of your special offering to this project.
