Your child will
have the opportunity to participate in a 10 -session course (5 days) based on a
book by Dr. James Dobson called Preparing for Adolescence on March 28 – April 1,
2022. The purpose of this course is to provide biblically-based insights which
can help adolescents as they enter into adulthood.
During this
course students will cover the following topics:

© How to handle group pressure to conform
© How to say no to drugs and alcohol
© Physical and sexual development
© The meaning of real love
© How to handle emotions
© Nutrition
© How to make sound decisions
© Understanding normal independence
© Basics of self-identity
© Pornography and gaming
© LGBTQ
© Abortion
In
the afternoon, we will be having the following activities:
Monday:
Biking or skateboarding at a park
Tuesday:
Car wash at church
Wednesday:
Baking for homeless at church
Thursday:
Visiting Northern Light Cemetery
Friday:
U of A campus
In registering, you
consent to your adolescent to participate in the selected activities and
understand the topics that will be discussed.
